As I take time to self reflect and come to realize who I am, I find myself in the space of setting intentions. The more I gain clarity on what they are, then the more I will attract people with similar intentions.
Lately, one of my most important intentions I have come to claim is making authentic relationships with people different from me. I grew up in a very confusing environment. My father was very abusive both psychologically and physically and emotional.
The messaging I received about love, care and relationship were colluded at best. Yet, from a very early age I had a sense of hope that I could learn from others and question the template I was receiving within my own family. It hasn’t always been easy but I have made intentional choices in my life to dismantle the cycle of abuse and negative thinking I was exposed to.
At some point I will delve more into my story personal story but for now, I like to focus and stay present with the personal intentions I’m declaring.
As I gain a sense of well-being, I set out to:
- cultivate authentic relationships with others.
- treasure the small moments of gratitude that occur throughout my day.
- build my capacity to love and be loved.
- stay in a mindset of hope and optimism.
- continue to be brave during new experiences that stretch my learning and understanding.
